Nocturnal project from just finished pencil drawing called "SUBME"..subconscious me, submerged me, or something like that. Scanned and combined with an old pen drawing, and a couple WIP drawings, just had some fun at night making this.
It is drawn mainly with pencils on Strathmore Bristol Slate paper, just scanned/Photoshopped into this collage, the three other drawings used for texture/background are the two underneath, and a new coming (sometime) A4 pencil drawing..
Yes, SubMe, i like that idea i can relate all the things i make, it's subconscious, and i'm a HORDER when it comes to my scetches and WIP, i can't throw them away if i like them (i do make a selection this makes me less of a horder XD) and i get really UPSET when someone throws away me scetches because they are lingering in the house XD really mad hahahha
wow, this piece is amazing yu do graffiti IRL? i seem to lean to graffitti style too, i have all the tools for learning how to airbrush, that's my next project ^^
Drawings shouldn't be thrown away, particularly the ones you like, I totally agree I've lost a few early ones by "tidying" (not by me) so I can relate to that
And as for graffiti, not on walls outside (in many years) but on paper I try to bring a new edge to it, my own ways. I've been into hip hop, graffiti, break dancing and rap since I was like 13, in 1984
Airbrush is great! I recently rediscovered my two brushes when cleaning/organizing at home, and wish to try that too again, though they probably need a proper rinse and of course I would need new paint, they're all dried up :S I need a new compressor too, someone stole it from someone borrowing it from me
Good luck with your airbrushing, it is indeed an amazing tool once getting a hang of it, very fun to experiment with
Thank you Jay Drawing more lately, developments.. I love your detailing/shadowing on your massive drawings, amazing art! I am constantly working on improving shading and depth now, and getting to "next level". I think I will post this "sequel" mentioned in the text here soon now, too (oh noes one of my rants again :S mind racing tendencies..)
wow, this piece is amazing
Good luck with yours ^^
